A real-time contouring feedback tool for consensus-based contour training

Purpose Variability in contouring structures of interest for radiotherapy continues to be challenging. Although training can reduce such variability, having radiation oncologists provide feedback impractical. We developed a contour tool real-time trainees, thereby reducing variability contouring. Methods novel metric termed localized signed square distance (LSSD) the trainee on how their compares with reference contour, which is generated by combining and multiple expert oncologist contours. Nine trainees performed using six randomly assigned cases that included one test case heart left ventricle (LV). Results For every case, statistically significant ΔLSSD were observed LV.
